You simply use our links and register and get the no-deposit bonus.
  • $10 No Deposit Bonus at Unibet Casino: Sign up with bonus code UBCASINO10, and you will get $10 in free play to check out the huge list of slots available at this big casino brand. If you like their exclusives, jackpot slots and table games, you can claim a 100% deposit bonus, up to $500.

First deposit and welcome bonuses at PA online casinos

A matched bonus on your first deposit is the single largest bonus you will get from online casinos in Pennsylvania. The standard format is to match your first deposit with bonus money. For example, offers will say a 100% bonus, up to $500. If you deposit $500, you will get $500 in bonus credits. If you only deposit $25, then that amount will be matched instead.

To take advantage of your bonus codes for matched welcome bonuses in PA, you need to find a way to deposit at the casinos. Many players are happy to use their credit cards, which are quick and convenient.

  • PokerStars Casino: You can use the 100%, up to $1,500, on deposit over three separate deposits. Use the bonus code WELCOME1 to claim it. PokerStars also add mystery bonuses via their innovative Stars Rewards system.
  • DraftKings Casino: At this casino, you get both a matched deposit bonus and risk-free play. The deposit bonus is a 20% match, up to $500. You can still enjoy this if you already took advantage of the $35 in no-deposit free play. No code is necessary for this deal, just simply use our link.

If you are planning to take advantage of multiple deposit bonuses, it can be worth investing the time into other methods.

Prepaid debit cards branded by the casino sites, e-wallets like PayPal and Skrill, and pre-verification for e-checks, which make them instant, are all possible. If you prefer, you can deposit and withdraw via the cage of the live casinos that are partnering with each online casino brand.

No-lose/rebate casino bonuses in Pennsylvania

Rebate bonuses offer significant risk reduction for new players at online casinos. However, they are not entirely risk-free.

These types of offers need a deposit. The casinos then refund your losses in your first 24-48 hours. This refund comes in the form of bonus credits. You need to wager these bonus credits on the slots or table games at least once. Again, table games and video poker will have weightings, with some of them completely excluded.

Rebate casino bonuses are popular. You can enjoy playing with your first deposit with the knowledge that you get a second shot if you get unlucky. This gives you a chance to try slots from different slot software providers, try out the table game selection and even try the new live dealer casinos.

No-loss offers are typically capped at $100, though some go as high as $250.

Both FanDuel Casino and DraftKings Casino offer loss rebate deals for casino fans in Pennsylvania. These deals are based on any losses within your first 24 hours. They are refunded as bonus credits, which you need to wager to clear into your cash account. Slots are best for meeting your wagering requirements, with table games weighted to require more betting.

Can I get a bigger bonus than the ones advertised with a bonus code?

You are in the right place. We have established relationships with many casino brands rolling out across the country as states regulate online gambling. So, this means you get access to better deals when you use our exclusive bonus codes. For the biggest bonuses and best promo codes, keep an eye on our PA casinos’ page.

How to compare bonus offers

Before claiming just any bonus, you’ll want to compare the offers, along with the terms and conditions. Some bonuses are easier to clear than others, while some are only valid on specific games.

Playthrough requirements are more important for these bonuses as you will have to play a lot more to get the full benefits. Some casinos will clear the entire bonus in one lump sum when you complete the wagering (the standard is between 1x and 25x the combined bonus plus deposit amount). Other casinos will clear your bonus funds into your cash account in increments.

Weighting for playthrough applies to table games and novelty games in the same way it does for the no deposit offers covered above. You should also check for excluded games. These do not count at all for bonus clearing.

Time to complete matched welcome bonuses varies. Depending on the amount of your bonus, you need to make a realistic estimate of whether you will finish the playthrough in time. Look for at least 30 days, with 60+ even better.

The key differences to look out for are:

  • The dollar amount.
  • The playthrough requirements.
  • The restricted games, or weightings, on the different types of games.
  • How long the bonus lasts.

We explain these factors, along with the different types of bonuses below. Amounts of welcome bonuses are from $10 to $35 for no deposit bonuses and $100 to $1,500+ for matched deposit bonuses. No-lose (also called rebate bonuses) usually have a cap of around $100 and are strictly time-limited.

The playthrough is a crucial element. It describes how many times you need to bet the bonus money before it is “cleared.” Once you clear the money, you have completed the bonus and you can withdraw your winnings.

The playthrough can vary from 1x to 25x, based on the combined deposit and the bonus amount. You must consider weightings for different games. Table games require 5x to 10x playthrough compared to slots at many PA online casinos.

Why do PA online casinos give away free money?

There are two solid reasons for casinos giving away completely free play on their casino apps. No deposit casino bonuses have been hugely popular at casinos in New Jersey. This type of deal also exists in regulated gambling jurisdictions around the world.

Bonus På Casino

The first reason is that the casinos get a chance to showcase their platform, games, ongoing bonus offers and other gambling areas. They are betting the $20 (or so) in free play will lead to enough players being impressed by what they find to become long-term customers.

The second reason is that the market for online casinos is competitive in PA. Each player will only have a handful of apps, and each brand wants to be on your smartphone or desktop. If a casino does not offer a no-deposit promo code, it could lose out to those casinos that do.

Keep in mind that not every player will win from no-deposit deals. While some will be disciplined enough to complete the playthrough and cash out, many will play loose and wild with the free money, aiming to “go big or go home.”

Understanding how no deposit and free play bonuses work in Pennsylvania

There is no risk in accepting a no deposit bonus from an online casino. No credit card information is needed and there are no future commitments required.

If you plan on making a profit from this bonus, it pays to read the terms and conditions. The first thing to note is that no deposit bonuses re restricted to one per household. Enterprising players that are thinking of signing up their families or roommates should think again.

The playthrough is key to your chances of making money from no-deposit promotions. This requirement is the number of times you will need to wager the bonus before you can withdraw it.

The best casinos (for example, Hollywood Casino) offer a one-time wagering requirement, while the worst requires you to bet your bonus 25 times.

Things are not as simple as just betting your bonus a set number of times. Casinos will apply weightings to certain games. Here is a typical example:

  • Slots/Scratch-It Cards: 100% weighting
  • US Roulette/Casino Poker Variants: 25%+
  • Blackjack/Baccarat: 10%-25%
  • Video Poker: 5%+

Some games could be excluded altogether. Examples include French roulette, video poker and live dealer casino games. Typically, casinos will not let you cover too many outcomes for bonus clearing. Betting on both red and black (with a small bet on zero) is banned at roulette tables.

The amount of time you have available to complete your no deposit bonus will vary. Casinos will give a short duration, with the quickest at just a few days. If you check this before you start playing, you can avoid your bonus money getting removed when the time limit is reached.

Ongoing bonuses are more important than you might think

Bonus codes will unlock the welcome bonus offers covered above at many different PA online casinos. Even if you are able to take advantage of them all, there will come a time when the ongoing promotions and loyalty schemes become the single most important factor.

Loyalty schemes usually have tiers. If you focus your casino play on one brand, you can climb to loyalty higher levels. Doing so will unlock bigger rebates and bonuses and even get the attention of a dedicated host at the highest levels.

When you compare the casinos for ongoing offers, look out for free spins, reload bonuses, loyalty points boosts and special offers for new games or holidays.

Final thoughts on PA casino bonuses

With so many high-quality casino brands competing for business in Pennsylvania, you can take advantage of a lot of different bonuses. Having the right bonus code or link can make all the difference to the size of these offers and your chances of using them to build a bankroll.

Some PA bonus codes unlock no-deposit/free-play offers that let you check out the casino apps with zero risks. Others work for deposit bonuses (the biggest bonuses available) or loss rebate type deals. Once you have taken advantage of these welcome offers, remember to compare the loyalty rewards closely. The value of these ongoing offers can make a big difference to your casino bankroll over the long run.

The launch of PokerStars in New Jersey back in 2016 was maybe the most anticipated event in the history of US online poker. Since, PokerStars has brought the heft of its international brand back into the US and re-established itself as a major player in the expanding US poker scene.

Its partnership with Mount Airy Casino in Pennsylvania and the launch of online poker in PA in 2019 brought it one step further into the US market. And PokerStars Michigan became the third state to see the return of PokerStars for online poker players when it launched, in partnership with the Odawa Casino Resort, in January 2021.

Players are slightly more restricted with regard to withdrawals but still have plenty of options in both states:

  • Instant e-checks

PokerStars US FAQ

Is PokerStars Legal in the US?

Yes. PokerStars officially relaunched to players in New Jersey on March 21, 2016. It launched in Pennsylvania on Nov. 4, 2019. It arrived in Michigan on January 29, 2021. These are currently the only 3 states where PokerStars can legally offer online poker games for real-money but more are soon to come.

Can I play at PokerStars in states outside of New Jersey?

PokerStars is currently licensed to offer games in three US states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania & Michigan.

Players from anywhere can sign up and create a new account but to play real money poker online (either cash games or tournaments) you must be physically within the state’s borders. You do not have to be a resident of either state to play.

How does PokerStars know I’m in NJ, MI or PA?

In order to abide by official state gaming regulations PokerStars must guarantee players accessing its real-money games are within state borders. To do so, players on PokerStars must download a geolocation app along with the PokerStars software or PokerStars App.

Can PokerStars US players play against international PokerStars players?

No, PokerStars US only includes players within the US as of 2019. There is a current compact that allows for a shared player pool between online poker players in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware but PokerStars does not have a site in Nevada or Delaware.

PokerStars PA and MI players are also ring-fenced and only able to play against each other. There is a likelihood, though, that all state player pools will eventually be merged among similarly licensed online poker states.

One day there is hope the full international player pool (or a portion of it) will be available again to US players.

What caused the delay of PokerStars in New Jersey?

Pa online casino promo codes

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement had concerns about the past legal issues of PokerStars involving the US Department of Justice. The original PokerStars founder had not yet settled with the US Government at the time of the sale to Amaya Gaming.

The sale of PokerStars satisfied any issues New Jersey regulators had with the company.

Are SNG tournaments available ?

Yes. PokerStars has SNGs. Michigan and New Jersey (but not Pennsylvania) have Spin and Go’s as well.

Why does PokerStars have a casino partner in each state?

New Jersey interactive gaming law requires software providers to partner with Atlantic City casinos through their existing license. Casinos can host up to five gaming sites on a brick-and-mortar license.

Likewise, Pennsylvania and Michigan require online poker sites to have a land-based partner.

Which Atlantic City casino is PokerStars’ partner?

PokerStars is partners with ResortsCasino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Which Pennsylvania casino is PokerStars’ partner?

PokerStars is partners with Mount Airy Casino in Pennsylvania.

Which Michigan casino is PokerStars’ partner?

PokerStars is partners with Odawa Casino Resort in Petoskey.

How big are the Sunday PokerStars tournaments in New Jersey?

Due to the market’s low-population cap, the tournament prize pools on PokerStars New Jersey are not nearly as large as they on the operator’s international site.

At present, the biggest Sunday major is the Sunday Special, which guarantees $50,000. Following that is the Sunday High Roller ($500 buy-in, $15,000 GTD).

There is also a bevy of nightly and weekly tournaments that guarantee a minimum prize pool of $10,000.

PokerStars’ History

PokerStars is the world’s largest online poker site. It peaks in the neighborhood of 20,000 players daily, according to PokerScout.

In addition to its international poker site, it also holds licenses in the ring-fenced markets of Italy, France and Spain. It is the largest site in two of these three regulated and ring-fenced countries.

PokerStars was not always the largest online poker room in the world. PartyPoker held that distinction until October 2006, when it left the US market. PartyPoker has the most cash-game players, but PokerStars had more tournament participants.

As a result, PokerStars immediately became the largest cash-game site when it announced it would stay in the US market after 2006. It raked an estimated $2 million per day after this decision.

PokerStars’ legal woes

Because of this success, the US Department of Justice took notice. PokerStars became the target of an investigation from the US Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.

On April 15, 2011, an indictment was unsealed that named PokerStars and two executives. The charges related to violating the Illegal Gambling Business Act and the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Furthermore, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker were also named on the same indictment.

PokerStars immediately withdrew from the US market, as did Full Tilt and Absolute Poker. Most noteworthy is that PokerStars was able to reimburse account balances for US players within 10 days. Full Tilt and Absolute Poker were unable to pay.

Subsequently, PokerStars acquired Full Tilt through a corporate settlement with the US Justice Department worth $731 million. Part of this settlement went toward paying Full Tilt Poker players that were victims of what the federal government described as fraud.

Once these charges were settled, PokerStars attempted to gain licensing in New Jersey for the state’s new interactive gaming industry that launched in November 2013. They partnered with Resorts.

PokerStars previously attempted to buy the Atlantic Club. They infused the ailing casino with much-needed cash while it attempted to get licensed. Atlantic Club backed out of the deal after the guaranteed closing date passed.

It appeared Atlantic Club was hoping to fetch a higher sales price. That never materialized. Atlantic Club fell into bankruptcy and closed in January 2014. Subsequently, its assets were divided between Caesars Entertainment and Tropicana Entertainment through a bankruptcy auction.

While PokerStars resolved its case through a civil settlement, executives of PokerStars never resolved their charges. This was the reason cited by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement for suspending its gaming license application for two years.

PokerStars’ new owner and eventual entry into New Jersey

Rational Group, the parent company of PokerStars, decided the solution was to sell the company. Amaya Gaming was the suitor.

Amaya Gaming acquired PokerStars in July 2014 for $4.9 billion. As a result, PokerStars’ equity holders left the company at the close of the transaction.

It appears that this merger was the catalyst that gave PokerStars the green light in New Jersey. The Division of Gaming Enforcement is satisfied that PokerStars is now suitable.

Amaya Gaming was already licensed in New Jersey. It maintains several casino platforms, as well as Betfair’s poker platform.

The path was more straightforward to PokerStars to get licensed in Pennsylvania and Michigan, and it managed to be the first online poker site regulated by the state gaming control boards to launch in each state.

Amaya Gaming would either need to defeat that language in bills before they become law or prevail in court challenges under the position that the so-called bad actor clauses are unconstitutional.

Additionally, online poker regulations in Nevada include a tainted asset clause. This means that the sale of PokerStars does not clean the brand in the eyes of regulators. Unless current Nevada law changes, or is found unconstitutional, PokerStars will never operate in Nevada.

Pa Online Casino Promo Codes

Delaware has no such language in its online poker regulations.
